Every year, nearly 100 children of The Brick Church celebrate Advent and Christmas by participating in the Christmas Pageant on Christmas Eve. Children 4 years old through 7th grade are invited to register and sign up to participate in one of the many roles
offered. We do not audition for parts; there is room for everyone, but preference usually goes to older children for speaking parts. Because so many children are involved in this program, we ask parents to volunteer to help with preparation and production. Our scheduled rehearsals help children feel confident in their roles, and their attendance is important. To register for the Pageant click here

Bible Presentation Sunday - Third Grade
Sunday, February 25, 2018 during 11:00 a.m. Worship; Pizza lunch and class to follow in the Carnegie Room
Fill out the form here
Every year, The Brick Church Children's Ministries Committee presents Bibles to third graders. One of the most significant actions we take as a church is to give our children Bibles. As Christians of the reformed tradition, we believe that the Bible is the witness to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As God''s word to us, the Bible forms our life together and guides our belief and actions. For this reason, we share its stories and message with our children, and when they are old enough, we, the church, give them their own copy of the Bible to read. A pizza lunch for the 3rd graders will be held in the Living Room following worship and Rev. Hutto will have an interactive class for parents and children about using their new Bibles.
Ash Wednesday Dinner and Seed Planting
Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
All congregation members, children especially, are invited to join us for this event that celebrates the start of Lent. We will serve a simple meal of soup and bread at 5 p.m. and participate in Lenten seed planting afterwards. This event will end before the 6:30 p.m. Ash Wednesday Service in the Chapel. You can bring your own glass jar if you want and the cost is$5 per person. Seeds are a symbol of the Lenten journey to Easter. We will plant seeds in individual jars, and participants may take their planted seeds home to watch them grow throughout the forty days of Lent.
Sunday, March 25th, 2018, 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter, when Christians commemorate Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. On Palm
Sunday, children participate in two important events:
1. Palm Sunday Processional:
All children are invited to join in the traditional Palm Sunday processional at the 11 a.m. worship service. Parents and children come to the Chapel of The Reformed Faith at 10:40 a.m. to receive palms, practice our music, and then lead the processional down the center aisle of the sanctuary. Infants in arms are welcome.
2. Palm Sunday Project:
We celebrate Palm Sunday with this fellowship tradition for our children in Watson Hall during Sunday Church School. The Palm Sunday Project helps us to remember Jesus’ journey to the cross and the celebration of Easter. After they recess out of worship, children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to Watson Hall to participate with their Sunday Church School classes to make symbols of Lent, palm crosses, and other Holy Week crafts. Younger children in the 2s and 3s classes will have activities provided in their Sunday Church School classrooms and 6th-7th grades will have Lent activities in their classrooms too.
Sunday, May 20, 2018 following worship
Teacher and Nursery Appreciation
Thursday, May 24, 2018, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
All Sunday Church School teachers, assistants, music leaders, and Nursery Committee volunteers are invited to join us for a thank you celebration from the Children’s Ministry Committee. We will host the event in the Garden, with the Carnegie Room as a rain location. We will have wine and cheese and light hors d’oeuvres for all to enjoy as our way of thanking you for all you have done for our children this year.
