Sunday Church School

The Christian Education program for the youth of the Brick Church is focused on our Sunday Church School program. The Church School has approximately 400 registered members, from infants through the 7th grade, with a typical weekly attendance of 120-150. Offering will be taken in Sunday School this Year
As September approached, the Church School Staff was developing new ideas to enhance children's spiritual growth. In thinking about the spirited ways children show love, we decided to honor children’s gifts by initiating a weekly collection of children's offerings and tithes, including food items for the Yorkville Common Pantry. We are enthusiastic about launching this idea. Each class will have an attractive box for children to bring in food items, as well as a basket, unique box or New Testament pouch for their weekly offering. Intentional giving is a wonderful opportunity to plant and grow seeds for our children's application of Bible stories to their lives, and for developing lifelong generosity. Very young children will begin to learn that they, like teens and adults, can enjoy remembering people in need, and that everyone's help is needed on a regular basis. This will also encourage discussions at home concerning how much to give from one's allowance or what food item to bring in. We will be selecting a children's mission outreach to receive our Sunday Church School Offering. We thank you for your support and will keep families informed about our children's stewardship.
