Employment at The Brick Church

Staff members are hired having taken into consideration the requirements of the position and the candidate’s skills, abilities and previous work experience, among other criteria. Managers will interview candidates and check references before an offer is made. Some positions require financial and criminal background checks, depending on the nature of work. Social Security numbers and identification are verified. Failure to provide valid legal documents will result in the offer being rescinded and employment terminated. For those employees having contact with The Brick Church School, fingerprinting is required to verify that there is no prior history of child abuse, etc.

Available Positions

Posting for Plant Services – Office Manager 

The Brick Presbyterian Church has an opening for a full-time Plant Services – Office Manager which reports to the Facilities Manager for Plant services and to the Director of Administration and Finance and is responsible for providing program support for Plant Services and the Building and Grounds Committee. Duties include providing administrative and secretarial support to the Facilities Manager including creating and maintaining all excel documents required for managing plant services. The position is responsible for maintaining Capital Expenditure schedules and management of project expenses as well as preparation of the department’s annual budget. Other responsibilities include preparation and coding of all plant services and capital invoices. Oversees Building Calendar and all reservations for building use. Position requires excellent computer literacy, effective communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, good telephone presentation, interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational abilities. Must be able to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Position requires an energetic person who is able to lift 20-25lbs boxes, stand on ladders, and if necessary walk five flights of stairs. Five years previous work experience with similar responsibilities required. Please see job description attached for full position responsibilities. The annual salary is $50,450 with benefits.
