The Rev. Chase S. Hunt, seminary field education coordinator
The Rev. Chase S. Hunt is the coordinator of the seminary field education program. Hunt is a native of Pittsburgh, Pa. and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. After serving in the U.S. Air Force and working in business for several years, he decided to attend Princeton Theological Seminary and then complete further graduate study at New College, Edinburgh University.

Hunt began his ministry in July of 1962 as a staff member at The Brick Presbyterian Church. He served there for nearly seven years under the leadership first of Dr. Paul Austin Wolfe and then of Dr. D. Reginald Thomas. He then moved to Michigan, where he served for 10 years as pastor of The Drayton Avenue Presbyterian Church in Ferndale, Mich., a northern suburb of Detroit. During the last five of those years, Michael Lindvall graduated from Princeton Seminary and began his own ministry at The Drayton Avenue Church as a colleague of Hunt’s.

In 1979, Hunt returned to Princeton Seminary to serve on the administrative staff and establish a planned giving program. He went on to serve the seminary for 25 years, first as the director of planned giving, then as director of development and, most recently, as interim vice president for seminary relations.

Hunt and his wife, Suzanne, met during their student days at the University of Pennsylvania and were married in December 1954, following his release from active military service. They have two adult sons, Robert and David.

Student Ministers
Deborah B. Mahaney is studying for the ministry at New York Theological Seminary. A native of Maryland and graduate of Western Maryland College, she is a 38-year resident of New York. She and husband, Mike, have two grown children, Patrick and Kathy. Deb looks forward to this year at The Brick Church and the range of experience it will provide as she determines the future direction of her ministry.

Andrew K. Rice grew up in western North Carolina and is a second year student at Princeton Theological Seminary. The son of a Presbyterian minister, he became interested in the church at an early age; that interest was furthered by mission trips to Guatemala. A graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University, Andrew’s seminary studies have heightened his interest in the theological foundations of our denomination. At present, Andy is considering a career as a military chaplain.

Marguerite M. Walter (“Margo”) is in her second year of study at Princeton Theological Seminary. A Presbyterian elder, she grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and attended both Vanderbilt and George Washington Universities. Margo and her husband, Frank, and their children Joe, Sam and Lily, are long-time residents of Montclair, New Jersey. Margo hopes to share her passion for teaching and for prayer during her year of ministry here at Brick Church.
