A Message from Rev. Michael L. Lindvall:
The coming year marks a singular milestone in the history of the Brick Presbyterian Church - our 250th Anniversary. It provides the opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments and to reflect on what Brick means to us, particularly in distinction to other organizations to which you might donate your time and resources.
Brick Church makes such a difference in both our city and the world. Our Sunday Church School is one of the largest urban children’s programs in the nation and our Adult Education, and Worship and Music programs collectively guide our 1,700 members to grow in faithfulness to God.
Our campaign materials show that we touch over 50,000 lives each year with the “four pillars” of our church: worship, ministry, education and fellowship. Moreover, we provide critical help to over 22,000 people each year through our Deacon Ministries and Grants programs. In 2016, we are proud to have met our stewardship goals of $2.5 million committed and an 80% participation rate.
Because of your generosity, our church’s work has never been stronger. Because of the added programs and ever increasing costs of operation, your continued participation in 2017 in the 2017 Stewardship Campaign is more important than ever before. In response to this extraordinary anniversary year, I am asking you to consider prayerfully a significant increase in your annual Stewardship pledge. This is our first priority.
I also invite you to consider making a “second mile” pledge to the anniversary Campaign for Brick, which aims to increase our endowment, embark on exciting new mission outreach efforts, and support needed improvements to our church facilities. The attached pledge card provides you with an opportunity to participate in this historic Campaign for Brick, either by printingthe card and sending it to the church, or by pledging or giving online at the links below. The “quiet phase” of this effort has been gratifyingly successful.
My hope is that on Pledge Dedication Sunday November 20th we can say; “We’re All In!”
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Michael L. Lindvall
