Advent Events for Children & Families
	ADVENT CRECHE LIGHTING Sunday, December 4, 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel   Each year, children and families participate in the Advent Creche Lighting service. Children learn about the season of Advent and receive Advent calendars. Then we light the nativity scene in the garden and sing a carol. Afterward we attend the church potluck and the tree-lighting service on Park Avenue. No RSVP required.   CHRISTMAS STORYTELLING PARTY   Thursday, December 8, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Living Room   Young children and their parents are invited to experience the wonder of Christmas at the annual Christmas Storytelling Party in the Living Room. We sing Christmas carols, learn the Christmas story, and finish with a light snack. The storytelling party lasts about one hour. No RSVP required.   CHRISTMAS PAGEANT   Saturday, December 24, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Register your child for this year's Pageant   Every year, nearly 100 children of The Brick Church celebrate Advent and Christmas by participating in the Christmas Pageant on Christmas Eve. Because so many children are involved in this program, we ask parents to volunteer to help with preparation and production. Our scheduled rehearsals help children feel confident in their roles, and their attendance is important.   Pageant Rehearsal Schedule Sunday, December 11, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.: Rehearsal I - All Participants Friday, December 23, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Rehearsal II - 3rd grade and up Saturday, December 24, 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.: Final Rehearsal - All Participants
