Upcoming EventsSeptember 28, 6:30 p.m.: PrimeTimers BBQ in the Garden
PrimeTimers (PT) invites all members and friends to the annual Fall Barbecue on Tuesday, Sept. 28. Beginning at 6 p.m. at the PT Café on the Third Floor of the Parish House, we will first enjoy a pre-dinner Welcome-Back-from-Summer hour, while intrepid tour leader David Meachin entertains us (using a new PT projector) with photos of the Long Island Estate tour taken last spring. A delicious repast and fellowship will follow. The cost is only $20 if you make a reservation in advance, and $25 without a reservation. Look for the event’s flier with reservation form coming your way by email or snail-mail, and at the Front Desk.
ActivitiesOutreach
PrimeTimers continually seek opportunities both within and outside Brick Church to serve others. Past activities have included distributing food at the Yorkville Common Pantry, caroling at DeWitt Nursing Home and hosting a meal for Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter residents as part of the Friday Night Dinner Program.
Assistance Getting to Church
PrimeTimers will help Brick Church members who may have difficulty coming to church on their own. To arrange an escort to and from Brick Church’s Sunday morning service, simply call Kent McKamy at 212-348-8099 anytime Friday or Saturday before noon preceding the day the member wants to attend church. On Sunday morning a PrimeTimer will call to confirm the time and place of pick-up.
Social
PrimeTimers sponsors events during the year to encourage fellowship among Brick Church members and their friends. Past events have included wine and cheese tasting, cabaret performances, walking tour of the West Village and tours of the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the Rockefeller estate, Kykuit, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Cloisters.
