The Rev. Michael L. LindvallThe Rev. Michael L. Lindvall was installed as the 13th Pastor of The Brick Presbyterian Church in the fall of 2002. He was raised in small-town Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Princeton Theological Seminary, he has previously served as pastor to congregations in Ann Arbor, Mich. and Northport, N.Y.
Lindvall is also a writer whose essays, book reviews, sermons, fiction, and theological work appear in a variety of church-related and secular periodicals and collections. He has authored two novels, The Good News from North Haven, and Leaving North Haven, a volume of accessible theology entitled The Christian Life: A Geography of God, and a short examination of the life and context of Jesus Christ entitled What Did Jesus Do?.
Lindvall is married to Terri Vaun Smith, an artist and teacher at the Hewitt School in Manhattan. They have three children - Madeline, a television producer, Benjamin, a musician, and Grace, a student at the University of Michigan.
