Youth Events

Due to the spread of Covid-19, Fall 2020 youth Events will take place virtually through Zoom or other online platforms. We will be updating our schedule and practices as we learn more about implementing safe environments for group gatherings, and as the threat of the virus diminishes.

All Youth Kickoff –  Game Night
Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. All youth in fifth through twelfth grade are invited for this online game night.   Expect a night of fun and great company with fellow youth. Friends are always welcome to join us. 

Park Ave. Tree Lighting
Sunday Dec. 6, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m. Come one, come all and partake in fellowship and goodies to warm the heart on a cool night. Join us in Watson Hall for hot cocoa and cookies before heading out to the Tree Lighting Ceremony.Trees on Park Avenue have been illuminated every year since 1945 as a memorial to Americans who have sacrificed their lives in war and in celebration of New York’s holiday season. Cherry trees planted on the median, as well as evergreen trees placed for the occasion, are strung with lights. 

Super Bowl Party
Sunday Feb. 7, 2021 from 6 to 9 p.m. All fifth through twelfth graders and their parents are invited to the church for a Super Bowl Party.  We will be watching the game and halftime show on the movie screen in Watson Hall and there will be plenty of food, people, and fun. Following the Halftime Show, we will send everyone home. As always, Friends are welcome to join.

Ski Trip
Saturday Feb. 20, 2021  from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
All youth in fifth through twelfth grades are invited to our annual Ski Trip to Mountain Creek (snowboarding is also an option). We will leave the Brick Church at 7 a.m. sharp and return by 5:30 p.m. Friends are welcome and encouraged to join. 

Super Bowl Party

High School Mission Trip
June 2021 There is a lot of good work to be done in the world. Whether you were on last year’s trip or if this is your first mission trip ever, you will be in for an amazing, life changing, opportunity. Dates and Location to be determined.

Mission Days
Several Saturdays throughout the year, youth travel to a different locations in the city to lend a helping hand to communities in need. 

Wednesday Night Dinner Program
Every Wednesday night, Brick Church youth and friends host a dinner for residents from the Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter’s (NCS) 81st Street residence. Our Youth cook and serve dinner and then sit down to a meal with our guests. We meet at 5 p.m. in the Watson Hall Kitchen and are finished by 7:45 p.m. Youth can also receive Community Service credit for volunteering with the Wednesday Night Dinner Program.
