A Coronavirus Update from Rev. Douglas T. King

Dear Friends in Christ,

The senior staff and I have been in discussion the past two weeks about our response to coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. We are making preparations for a variety of contingencies:

Our building staff has implemented enhanced building management protocols, including cleaning and food preparation.

  • All weekend activities and Sunday worship will occur.
  • We recognize the importance of keeping you informed of any changes in scheduled activities and remind you to check the website regularly.
  • In order to protect those most at risk, we ask you to stay home if you are experiencing coronavirus symptoms, including fever, cough, or shortness of breath. Our Sunday worship is always available by live-stream here.

Please see the CDC website www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/health/health-topics/coronavirus.page and the NYCDOH website www.nycdoh.gov for helpful information.

As always, we want to be a pastoral presence in your life. Please contact me with any concerns or questions you may have. We look forward to continuing to engage in the ministries of this church and encourage all of you to keep those affected by this situation around the world in your prayers. As in all times, we put our trust in Jesus Christ and are grateful that we have been called together into this community of faith.

Grace and Peace,

The Reverend Douglas T. King
Senior Associate Minister, Acting Head of Staff
