Sunday March 3 How We Pray
Reverends Kimberly Clayton and Douglas King
Come and get a glimpse into the prayer life of clergy. Reverends Kimberly Clayton and Doug King will share their personal stories of why, how, when, and where they pray. Some of their answers may surprise you.
Sunday March 10 Brick Church Prayer Ministries
Prayer Shawl Ministry: Jacqueline Worth; Prayer Partners/Prayer Matters: Deborah Kramm
Jaqueline Worth of the Prayer Shawl Ministry will share how the group has the singular and unrelenting purpose of reaching out in times of trouble and joy. Each shawl is knitted and held and passed around and prayed over. They hope that each person who makes one and each person who gets one can tangibly and directly feel God’s touch in his or her life. Jaqueline can feel God’s love in the knitting and the giving and the praying and the receiving. Her prayer journey is enriched.
Deborah Kramm of Prayer Partners/Prayer Matters will speak about how her life has been transformed by prayer, how she felt led by God to her prayer ministry and how prayer has touched her life, as well as the congregation she serves. Included will be a discussion of her personal prayer practices as inspired by great leaders of the faith. As part of this segment, Amanda Smith and Grace Sarno will lead us in a meditative song about prayer through their ministry of music.
