Alkemie Ensemble

 

Known for their spellbinding performances of medieval music, Alkemie presents “Verdant Medicine,” with works by the 12th-century abbess Hildegard von Bingen. In these ecstatic chants, images of unfurling branches, earthbound roots, and medicinal spices are depicted in soaring melodies that connect the natural world with its divine Creator.
