Brick Church Book Club

On Monday, February 13, 2023, at 7:00 PM, the Brick Church Book Club be discussing “The Hours,” a 1998 novel written by Michael Cunningham, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, the 1999 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, and was later made into an Oscar-winning 2002 film of the same name; and this fall was the source of a new opera of the same name produced to great acclaim by the Metropolitan Opera of New York. It recasts the classic story of Virginia Wolff’s “Mrs. Dalloway,” telling the story of contemporary characters struggling with the conflicting claims of love and inheritance, hope and despair [In paperback, 207 pages].
