Values and Voices: Speaking Out in Public Spheres

An interfaith panel discusses American values post the 2016 presidential election. Values and Voices: Speaking Out in Public Spheres brings together distinguished scholars from a diverse range of religious traditions who will speak to core American values after the last national election. Panel participants will be three outstanding scholars representing three different religious heritages. Deirdre Good is a Theologian in Residence at Trinity Wall Street and is a graduate of the University of St Andrews, Cambridge University, receiving her doctorate at Union Theological Seminary and Harvard University Divinity School. Rabbi Andrea Weiss is an Associate Professor of Bible at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. Hussein Rashid is the Founder of Islamicate, L3C, a consultancy focusing on religious literacy and cultural competency, teaches as a contingent faculty member and engages with various interfaith and community building projects in NYC. He has a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from Columbia, a Masters in Theological Studies and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from Harvard University.
