High School Youth Group

The high school youth ministry is a great group of students who meet for fun, fellowship, spiritual growth and service. Young adult volunteers and parents support and lead this ministry. If you have any questions, please contact Jeff Shayne.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Students in ninth through twelfth grades at The Brick Church have many opportunities to serve others and God in New York City.

Serve people, serve God, serve food:
Fifth through twelfth grade students cook dinner with the Wednesday Night Dinner Program on most Wednesday nights from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Bring your friends to this worthwhile (and amazingly fun!) Wednesday night project. For more information or to volunteer, click here.

Lead the congregation in worship: ninth through twelfth grade students lead in Sunday 11 a.m. worship services as part of the Order of St. Paul. Students can also serve as Scripture readers in the service. Contact Renée D. Alston to volunteer to read.

Children’s ministry: High school students assist with Sunday morning Church School classes for age 3 through fifth grade. Contact Rev. Adam Gorman to sign up as a Sunday School assistant.

Middle school mentors: Students in tenth grade and older can assist with the middle school and Pioneers programs as mentors and game leaders. Contact Rev. Adam Gorman to sign up as a middle school mentor.

Community service hours: Students seeking community service may contact Rev. Adam Gorman for ideas about where to get involved.

CHURCH MOUSE PROGRAM – FOR STUDENTS AWAY AT SCHOOL

If you have a student who is away at boarding school or college, you are invited to enroll him or her in the Church Mouse Program. This program pairs up Brick Church members and students for ongoing fellowship away from home. Students receive notes and care packages to help them feel cared for by The Brick Church. Email Jeff Shayne to register.
