  • Seminarians | Brick Church

Seminarians Henry Anyomi Drew Theological School Henry Anyomi is Graduate Student Assistant in charge of Program Coordination at the Center on Religion, Culture, and Conflict (CRCC). Having joined CRCC in fall 2022, Henry coordinates the Center’s podcast project, supports event and program organization, and publicizes the Center’s activities. This summer, Henry is receiving contextual pastoral training at the United Presbyterian Church of West Orange where he is engaged in administrative, communication, preaching, and pastoral care roles. Henry is from Ghana, West Africa. He is currently a second-year Master of Divinity student at Drew Theological School. He holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs (Global Security major, Environment, Resources, and Sustainability minor) from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French from the University of Ghana (UG), Legon. Sean Baz Yale Divinity School This is Sean's second year at Brick Church. He was born and raised in central Florida, halfway between Tampa and Orlando. His mother raised him in a PC(USA) congregation in the area, so he has a deep connection to and love for the denomination. Currently, he is a certified candidate for ordination in the United Methodist Church, a church he came to love at Florida Southern College, the alma mater of both his mother and grandmother. At Florida Southern, he majored in religion with a focus on theology and ethics and has continued to explore those interests in the MDiv program at Yale Divinity School. He hopes to pursue doctoral work after completing his MDiv, but he is unsure about what he will do after that. He's considering either parish ministry or theological academics. His time at Brick Church has been and will be very helpful in giving him clarity in that regard, and he is very grateful for the opportunity to serve God and others with you. Robert D’Alessandro Jr. Princeton Theological Seminary Since Rob became a Christian at the age of 15, he has wanted to attend seminary and pursue a career centered around Biblical studies and Christian ministry. He pursued his undergraduate education with the sole purpose of acquiring the credentials necessary to attend seminary afterward. Rob successfully completed his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, majoring in history and philosophy, and supplemented his studies with extensive personal exploration of theology. Currently, Rob is a senior enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Princeton Theological Seminary. Throughout his academic journey, his primary focus has been the study of the New Testament, with recent emphasis on 1st Corinthians 15. While leaning towards an academic career path, he plans to apply to PhD programs this year. Simultaneously, he remains committed to serving a local church community through teaching or other capacities. Our semi-weekly Newsletter delivers Brick Church news to your inbox.
