Our middle school choir develops their singing skills, music reading, and harmony singing. The students can volunteer for leadership roles and solos when singing in worship or concerts with the younger choirs. Through hymns, anthems, and games, these oldest singers have a chance to express themselves and connect with one another and their faith. Students rehearse once a week during the school year, and sing in Sunday worship service at various times throughout the year. The choirs also participate in the Park Avenue Tree Lighting, outreach events, and the bi-annual Spring Musical.
Due to the spread of Covid-19, the Youth Choir will take place virtually through Zoom or other online platforms. We will be updating our schedule and practices as we learn more about implementing safe environments for group gatherings, and as the threat of the virus diminishes.
