Former Brick Church Seminarian, Denise Carrell, will be guest preaching! 

Denise is the PhD Program Coordinator at her alma matter, Princeton Theological Seminary, where she earned her Certificate in Youth and Theology and her Master of Divinity. Recently, Denise was awarded the Robert E. Speer Award in College Ministry and the Earl F. Palmer Award for Excellence in Expository Preaching and Teaching the Bible.

Denise has served in ministry for two decades in roles such as interim pastor and youth minister. She is passionate about the intersection of gender, preaching, and teaching. She is an outspoken advocate for social justice that transcends the binary. She loves poetry, folk music, and art. She will soon be ordained by the American Baptist Church of the Rochester/Genesee Region.
