Join us for a special evening as the Book Club and the History & Archives Committee present Role in the Revolution: The Brick Church Story, a dynamic program inspired by an excerpt from Deane Turner’s A History of the Brick Presbyterian Church in the City of New York. As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, this event invites us to rediscover Brick Church’s remarkable role in the American Revolution and reflect on how our legacy shapes the future.

Watson Hall will be transformed into a welcoming space - part lecture hall, part pop-up exhibition - created especially to engage both longtime members and those new to our congregation. Together, we will explore the church’s Revolutionary-era contributions and consider how our history continues to inform our mission today.

Event Highlights

• Panel Discussion: Featuring Senior Minister Rev. Thomas Evans; Elder and historian Margaret Stocker; Gracey Stoddard, Chair of the Brick Church Book Club; Dr. Charles Guth, Theologian in Residence; and moderated by Dr. Amanda Bellows, author and United States historian.

• New Member Focus: Guests will receive a special handout, 10 Fun and Important Facts About Brick Church History, created to help new members connect with our rich heritage.

• A Vision for the Future: Rev. Evans will share reflections on Brick Church’s future, including insights from the 2033 Vision, framed within the church’s historic role during the Revolution.
