Historical context of the importance of pastoral care within the Reformed tradition
Societal factors that led to a shift in the way that pastoral care was approached
Contributions of Rev. Anton Boisen, a Presbyterian pastor and chaplain, who started the movement for reform of pastoral care and pastoral care education
Reflections on implications for today.
