Sacred Resonance: Moravian Lovefeast
Step into a world of worship at this inter-denominational experience of communal praise, fellowship, and love, featuring early American music for choir and string quartet from the Moravian tradition.
Time & Location
Jan 25, 2026, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
The Sanctuary, 1140 Park Ave, New York, NY 10128, USA
About the event
The first Moravian missionaries arrived in America in the 1730s, bringing with them their vision of Christian believers living together in peace and unity. They celebrated special occasions by sharing with friends a simple meal – a “Lovefeast.” Today, the Lovefeast is a service of song, in which music, for voices and instruments, gives the themes for praise and prayer. The Chancel Choir, joined by string quartet, will offer music from the Moravian tradition. Hot drinks and sweet rolls will be served.
This event is free and open to the public.

Sacred Resonance: The Sound of the Spirit
This Sunday Evening series is not a typical concert series. It is designed to expand Brick Church’s presence as a spiritual home for all.
Whether you come from no faith, a different religion, or the Presbyterian tradition, these evenings invite everyone to encounter the sacred, life-empowering presence of God in a unique way. They open us to the movement of the Holy Spirit - how it speaks, acts, and stirs in our lives - while helping us engage in a broader spirituality.
Through music and worship beyond our usual traditions, these gatherings draw us into the holy and divine presence of God.
