Please join Dr. Tom Greggs, Director of the Center of Theological Inquiry in Princeton, for a discussion about the importance of thoughtful engagement with Christian tradition for discipleship, the church, and society as a whole.
This talk will consider the vital importance of Theology for the church and society in a Post-Christendom era. Grounding the understanding of Theology in discipleship and God’s own life, Dr Greggs will offer a lively and relevant account of the importance that thoughtful engagement with the Christian tradition has for people today.
Professor Tom Greggs, FRSE, is the Director of the Center of Theological Inquiry, Princeton. Previously the Marischal (1616) Chair and Head (Dean) of Divinity at the University of Aberdeen, Tom’s principal research interest is how to conceive of Christian faith and Theology outside of the conditions of Christendom. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Tom serves on the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches, and is a much sought after preacher and lecturer.
